The HECS eddy current metal separator operates based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. When conductive metal passes through a high-speed rotating permanent magnet drum, the alternating magnetic field generates eddy currents inside the metal. These currents, in turn, produce a mirror magnetic field in the opposite direction to the original magnetic field, thus generating a strong repulsive force on the metal particles. Metals with different conductivity (such as copper and aluminum) experience different repulsive forces, achieving effective separation from the material flow. The separation effect of the HECS eddy current metal separator mainly depends on the ratio of the material's conductivity to its density; metals with a higher ratio are more easily separated.
